I had blood work done for a possible gall stone. A US found none. But my blood work came back with some irregularities. I have had Gilbert s disease all my life (elevated bilirubin count. Hello, Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your question. As you are suffering from Gilbert's disease, your bilirubin level is high. Your albumin level is normal and your hematocrit with MCV are also normal. Gilbert's disease is due to by lack or deficiency of an enzyme uridine-diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase or UGT and usually does not require any treatment. Jaundice is usually treated at home by taking proper bed rest, healthy diet and proper hydration. I would also advise you to avoid dieting, any kind of stress, heavy exercise, sleep deprivation, alcohol, etc. You don't need to worry much, your bilirubin will come back to normal within few days. Hope this will help and let me know directly if you have any further relevant queries, i will be happy to guide you in right path. Wishing you a best health.
